The Ural is a copy of a 1944 BMW. At the end of WWII the Russians took the entire assembly line, tools, basically everything in the factory, back to Russia and started producing Urals. Very smart move!
After seeing several reviews and lots of Ural videos on YT, I'm thinking of buying one to ride in addition to my 1100 Yammie. Ural is year round, Yammie definitely not. I live in Ontario.

My son-in-law in upstate NY has one of these and it's one bad ass piece of equipment. In my opinion it makes American built bikes look like the crap they've become. You ought to see this baby operate in the snow, like I said one bad ass piece of equipment!
