KLR650 Motorcycle River Crossing Fail

Today I crashed my Kawasaki KLR650 during a river crossing. The river wasn't very deep so I thought I could make it across no problem and zoomed into the water. But the rocks got the best of me and made me crash.

Our ride up to this point was pretty rough and I didn't have any water. My legs were beginning to cramp up and I felt a little stroked out. Falling in this water was the best thing that could have happened to me.

I like the "I'm okay" gesture at the end. If you have to go down, the water isn't the worst place to fall. Some day when you're bored, you should make a compilation video of all your "get-offs" in the dirt. No street wrecks, just the low speed tumbles.

HalfThrottle shows us yet again what the term "DualSport" means, If he does all this on a big bulky KLR, makes us wonder what he would try on a full blown enduro race bike!!

The intake on the KLR is on the right side of the bike so it was out of the water. Not that I was thinking about that at the time....

I didn't think we would be getting into anything heavy on this ride. Just thought we would cruise for a few hours. I didn't take any water with me.

I was heat stroking out when I did this. The water felt so amazing, it was the best thing that could have happened.

Great video, but take it easy out there. If you broke a leg going down like that on your own...that would be bad. Glad to see you get right back up.

There are times when I know I'm going to crash, but this river was so small I thought it'd be a breeze. But the stream had other plans for me.
