I can also tear strips of gaff tape with only my thumb/hands, while you'll generally need scissors to cut duct tape

Does Gaff tape leave a residue if used to tape something that may be in place for a year or more and exposed to heat like on the inside of a car during summer?

So duct tape actually sticks better than gaffer tape?

Everybody was making it sound like gaffer tape is just all around better. But no, it's just because of less residue, less reflection, and a higher heat tolerance? Those are fairly specific situations where gaffer would be better to use it in. In most other situations, you just need a tape that can stick better to something.

I'm glad I didn't spend $20 on a roll of it now.
