I would name it the Dark Spades, because for me, their abdomen looks more like the ace of spades and the older ants darker colours.

I have seen ants that look strikingly similar to these living in various trees in Western Australia. I always know them because of their unusually shaped abdomen.

what about using bamboo sticks arranged in like a small bamboo forest arrangement where they can have their pick of different bamboo stalks to hollow out further. Plus since bamboo already has hollow inside it could work as incentive for the hive to move into one faster than boring out their own cavity like we saw with the carpenter ants

I'm really excited about these ants! Maybe we could call them the Cardioid Kingdom (Cardioid means heart-shaped)? Or the Galactic Crusaders? When I hear about a new discovery, I think of the spaceship Discovery, and I think an outer space theme could be fun 😀

Ants are definitely extraordinary, I remember 2 years ago when I was wandering around the nearby forest looking for mushrooms I ended up nearby a 10-20 ant nest the nest where tall to reach my knees or above them and had a conic shape and just to imagine the amount of ants that was crawling around they were very loud and you could hear them move around the dead leaves on the ground I didn't stay long there as I already had my shoes full of ants biting on them so I didn't took pictures or made a video but next time I will probably do that if I get the chance

Idea for the ants habitats: Yggdrasil/the world tree in Norse mythology would be fun to have like different realms like Midgard or jötunhiem just to name a few. the different realms would be represented by and habitats and the ants would be able to run around to Yggdrasil to another realm/habitat. I would name them hjarta witch means heart in old norse

Maybe you should call them the Darting Hearts, because they’re small, and their heart-shaped gasters. Or you could call them the Dark Hearts, because of the same reasons as before, and that they are darkly-colored.
