Whilst I show new items in my videos I would also encourage you to look at buying things second hand ( #secondhandbutgrand ) as this is the most sustainable way to add pieces to your wardrobe, and also the most purse-friendly 🙌🏼
I would also encourage you to research the brands you're buying from and if you can't afford the more ethical brands that create responsibly then to really consider the purchases you're making from those that don't ❤️
Remember that I create videos, hopefully to educate and help with style choices which is why I have a more extensive collection, but the volume of clothing I have needn't be used as a benchmark, so don't put pressure on yourselves to keep up with me or any other creators you see on social media.

Thank you for speaking up about responsible wool. The cruelty towards animals in the fashion industry is insane. This is why I only purchase 2nd hand wool, but always interested in hearing about ethically responsible companies.

Thank you Emma for speaking up about ethical wool and recycled wool. Sheep, just as goats and Alpacas suffer extremely when the shearing/shaving is not done in a Humane and ethical manner. We all need to check where and how knits are produced!

Hi Emma, love your sweater collection, like yourself I am crazy about cashmere and wool and natural fibers. I have eradicated anything synthetic from my wardrobe years ago. Was never a fan of any brand of fast fashion either. All aspects of sustainability have become very important to me in recent years. Your videos are so appreciated for the styling and tips on brands as well.
Funnily enough, I come from Chile, the land of Alpaca (though I live in Canada) but I didn't know that they graze lightly on the grass without hurting the roots. How great is that!

Bravo to the amount of research that went into making this video!!! I've recently acquired the turtleneck from The Curated and as a fabric freak myself, I couldn't be happier with the quality!! I appreciate you shifting your purchases to more sustainable brands; you inspired me to do the same!! I quit shopping fast fashion almost entirely (I am very privileged to do so, of course). Now I have sweaters I've been wearing for 5 or 6 seasons (from everlane, their cashmere holds up very well!) I also recently came across a knitwear brand called "sheep included": they include the information of the sheep from whom the sweater's wool is from! Would love to hear your opinion if you ever came across this brand! Also, who would I be if I were to comment here without appreciating Simon's editing! It's as beautiful and smooth as ever!

Love that you're talking more about sustainable fashion. It's honestly a bit depressing for me to go in an H&M and see racks and racks full of synthetic knitwear. What happens to those sweaters after a few wears? They aren't good enough to resell, so I suspect many ultimately end up in landfills. In contrast, good quality knitwear can be worn for years or resold if you decide you no longer like it. I'm also an Arket fan (thanks in part to your videos)! I'm actually wearing one of their wool midi sweater dresses now, and it's like going around all day wrapped up in a wool blanket.

Hi Emma,
Fisherman out of Ireland does beautiful, soft, well made 100% natural fibres knitwear. Very well priced, similar to &daughter but better valve. I have a few pieces and they have lasted and washed well. They are a small company working out of Donegal. Always enjoy your videos. X
