I am a novice knitter at the age of 72, but loved the rosary jumper, it took me 9 attempts to get the pattern correct, it’s not hard once you get started, I just didn’t understand how to read the pattern, finished the back, really proud of the result, just the rest to make ❤

A little tip for those who struggle with pilling: you can buy little electric shavers that are designed to safely remove the pilling on your garments.
If you’ve used fine wool like mohair, you can buy a sort of ‘comb’ to remove them. They are often called cashmere combs and they look like a little scraper tool, not a comb at all 😂
And finally: there is something called a ‘snag’ took, it looks like a sewing needle, but the end where normally the eye is situated has a grippy surface. You just stick the needle in the fabric right next to/ or into the snag and pull it through the fabric, it will pull the snag to the backside of the fabric and you won’t see it at all.

As someone who prefers more fitted garments myself - it's always worth redoing something for a better fit! You'll feel so much happier with it made the way you prefer, which means it can never be overkill. So I say do it! Your Rosery jumpers are my favourite of your knits - I adore the pink, but I do think you're right about burnt orange suiting you the best.

I’ve made the Rosery jumper. It’s a good pattern. You could frog your current jumper and re-knit it with the same yarn.

I would knit the rosery jumper again. Seeing you being so happy with the perfect jumper was a joy. ❤

Hi Janelle! I just got into knitting about a year ago! I'm a left-handed knitter and have sort of made up a knitting method that works for me, but it's very similar to yours, and watching your knitting videos has been so helpful!

Also, I've met Sarah Gets Dressed in person before! They're so genuine and talented and kind! ❤

Hi Janelle, I’m just now seeing this video of yours, not sure how I missed it. I would knit the jumper again. You already know you love it and enjoy knitting so then you will have the fit you want. You may have already decided but thank you for sharing ❤️

I like them all, but the Rosery one is my favourite too. I like both colours.

I love the wavy patterned sweater the most! I also like the popcorn when you wear it occasionally in your videos.

Lovely makes… would love to see a similar one for your crochet clothes

Get a sweater stone and use it on your pilled sweater. I have one and it worked miracles on my pilled items without destroying the fabric!

As someone who enjoys knitting and sewing but definitely does more of the former, so it was lovely to see a more knitting-forward video from you! The Rosery jumper looks beautiful, and as someone who also prefers more fitted and cropped jumpers, I can appreciate why you'd want to knit it again. My suggestion would be to choose a slightly more "rustic" 100% wool yarn that has a little bit less drape - I find that these sort of yarns tend to wear better than their softer (ie, merino type fibers) counterparts, so if you already know that this garment will be getting a lot of wear this might be a nice workaround? Good luck! 🧡

I loved the rosary jumper so much I have knitted it 5 times in different colours, and used the lacy pattern for 3 cardigans too, l Just like you, I knit for months, then leave it for a while then go back to it, Thank you for sharing that pattern and all your makes, have a lovely week

Highlyyyy reccommend soaking it in warm water with wool soap, then blocking it. I haven't tried blocking things yet, but all the knitting people swear by it. I've been knitting for years but only been advancing my knowledge beyond scarves, over the past 2 years. Things get bigger through wear, and you can bring it back to the original size through washing and blocking. Hope that helps <3 Also yes, swatching/ gauging before you start helps a ton! With figuring out if it'll fit or match the pattern maker's gauge.
