I loved this honest review man. Really nails down all the pros and cons. As a user I would expect this thing to be compatible with a PC at least. The USB speeds really surprised me. But all in all, for a professional, if you spend this much money on a device, you probably have a Macbook that can push this display with ease. Hope you are doing well, and have a great week!

Great roundup of the pros and cons. Thought I’d add that the LG 5k is quite hard to get in the EU and Apple have removed if from their EU stores.
However I’d recommend the iMac. Granted it’s a bit much for just a nice display, but it’s still a fraction of the XDR display and it’s the full 218 dpi 👍🏻

This review feels a bit like a documentary. It’s something that very few people would buy, and kind of a computing marvel. I’d never buy one but find it fascinating to stop and see what’s achievable in the monitor space at the moment.

Also the cinematography was great (p.s. $1000 for a monitor coating 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣)

This was an excellent review. I agreed with all of your points until, right at the end when you said to buy a none Apple monitor. While, I understand your reasons still, I always prefer to have a complete Apple system (keyboard, track pad, mouse, etc.). So, in place of a Pro XDR display would pick-up a 27-inch iMac with its 5K display or even better a discontinued (now at a much lower price) space gray 8/10 core 27-inch iMac Pro with its 5K display. In addition, with both 27-inch iMac models you also get a built-in 1080p camera and very good speakers.

or do i need to go for a pc biult an satisfy myself with three 5k2k displays ?

I am into trading / no gaming . need a clean setup with good resolutions like 6k on all 3 displays also connect 85inch tv with hdmi2.1

So what resolution you use for your 6K or 5K monitor? I cannot use 4K resolution for my 4K monitor since I cannot see anything with that resolution 😅

Can't you plug in the monitor into the dock, so that you only have 1 cable going to your MacBook?

The vignette effect also appears on my MacBook Pro 14" 2021, as shown in the video at 3:00. Why does this happen? Can someone please guide me?
