#14 Arduino & AI &, How to make full projects with artificial intelligence (ChatGPT) in seconds

I was having fun with the Open AI artificial intelligence (ChatGPT), and wanted to explore its usefulness for project development. It was quite surprising to see that it can actually write codes as you ask it to do so. and you can save significant amount of time that you spend during initial development phase. How we make projects with Arduino boards will become quite different than what we are doing right now, with the help of AI.

In this video, I am sharing my experiences with you.

Programming and coding had been my major wall when it came to making robots….hardware and mechanical designs came at ease but making the creation alive with software was the end of the project. ChatGPT just broke that wall down for me. Thank you for the video

This is actually really fun. I didn't think it would deal with revisions and things like that as well as it does. I had it write me a clock for a TTGO and just kept telling it what to fix or add to make it work better.

Edit: Also want to mention that if it gets hung up while spitting out code you can ask it to display the rest of the code and it will pick up from where it left off.

Absoultely spot on. I was often "stuck" due to knowledge gap and never achieve some of the dream projects...But nowadays, people with any motivation to jump into a project are very lucky to have ChatGPT as a part of their assistant -- it will get the project done as fast as possible. This year is a new pioneer, there's no doubt we'll start be seeing many new project.

You inspired me to ask ChatGPT to:
"write arduino code for a filament dryer using the DHT11 sensor and a low-cost heating element which is controlled using a MOSFET and a PID controller"

Then I pushed my luck by asking it to also draw a schematic diagram for this... but that was a bridge too far (for now)

I found that long programs always stall so I developed a workaround. Ask ChatGPT to list with line numbers. When it fails, ask ChatGPT to list from the line it fails on and eventually it will list the entire program. You can then cut 'n' paste into notepad complete. YOu will have to delete the line numbers but at least you get the whole code.
