The main problem with gopro cameras is the freezing and overheating, but since the water cools it down, its actually very reliable.

Just over a year ago I decided to make the investment and bought the GoPro Hero 9 Black, and it has been getting the job done! I've gotten so many memories with/from my Gopro Hero 9 Black! The ONLY problem with it is that the screen freezes here and there, but the pros outweigh the one con. Hoping to have it for a few more years.

And the good thing is all those corroded parts are very easily replaceable. How's the quality of the recording compared to the black hero? 11?

Mine is very similar. Incredibly heavy use. Nigh on indestructible when used reasonably.

I have the hero 4 black, films 4k30 never let me down it's about 8 years old

My hero 9 started playing up. Like random freezes and shut downs. Then one day it wouldn’t turn on. So sent it back under warranty and GoPro sent new one.

Mine lasted me a years and a half never went in water, never dropped just sat on my bike helmet as POV and stopped working.
