No one kept secrets like the Soviet Union. During the late 1960s, the Soviet Union did its best to explore Venus amidst its thick clouds and deadly pressure. However, not one drop of knowledge about what they learned about Earth's sister planet was shared with anyone. Now, 62 years after the Soviet Union was dissolved, some of the secret photos from their discoveries in Venus are seeping through the cracks, and experts are panicking.

Carbon dioxide is not a destroyer as you point out in relation to breathers, because it is the food of the Oxygen producers, the greenery on this planet. By attacking carbondioxide the foliage suffers and consequently oxygen production falls over the earth. It seems those pushing for carbondioxide curtailment here have something else in mind besides our good health.
