From orbit and with the help of many landers and rovers, Mars' rocky topography has been mapped and photographed in more detail than any other rocky planet in the Solar System. Even Mercury has been mapped and imaged to a respectable degree. But there aren't many pictures of Venus's surface, and none have been taken in more than 40 years.
