Hey guys, welcome to LOST BITS! Where I will cover unused, unreleased and unseen things in various games! In this video, we’re diving into another Mario Kart game, this time with Mario Kart DS ! The final release has a bunch to cover, but quickly after starting to research I realized the prototypes for this game are PLENTIFUL with scrapped and altered content. This includes unused graphics, sounds and more! Hope you enjoy!

17:20 The Japanese sounds of L and R actually exist as variants of the same sound, so to the Japanese, this sounds completely normal, to us, this sounds like the plot to some horror film

the animated pictures weren't removed. they actually do animate on the final version natively but you can only see them in grand prix mode when the camera flies though the course before the race starts. i believe the skating pictures not animating is actually a glitch, not disabled. i made a code to re enable the pictures animating in the final. also little known fact but in the demo you can drag the blue shell :P i was part of the finding a dumping process of the Europe version of the mkds demo kart. its was so hard to find that cart... i have both usa and europe demo carts :P

23:56 I’m not sure why, but I have a feeling that magenta koopa shell was meant to function similarly to the black shell from the Mario Kart Arcade GP series.

I remember seeing a strange thing on the back of the box art. It shows two players playing a Donkey Kong (which is impossible) and a player was in "0" place if you look close enough

19:56 the text here says "Is this alright?" With an "ok" and "go back" option. Not sure about if it would be a delete save screen or not, but it's one of the few I was able to read
