Love my m16 r2. Got it for $1400. It’s perfect for me. Don’t need the highest performance and it’s more casual looking for doing work in public. Was never a fan of ultra flashy gaming laptops. This thing plays every game I throw at it well, and I can get 7-10 hours of battery out of it when doing school work.

The New M16 desigin of the R2 feels like when you're moving on from a break up. Just hard to accept such an iconic change lol.

Picked up the r1 with a 4080, ryzen 7845hx, 32gb of ram directly from Dell foe 1699. Couldn't be happier with it honestly and that's coming from a long time desktop user

Just bought the M16 R1 AMD with RTX 4060 recently....like the overall build quality but the motherboard is inverted as compared to this R2 which makes it harder to re-paste in future

I actually own this laptop and love it. I picked it up a few weeks ago for $1299 with the 4060 and the single key keyboard. The one thing that’s very hidden is the support. This model is the only one that is sold with basic support although there are other sections of the advertisement that says all alienware come with premium support. Not true.

Sick specs for the price. I am actually shocked at all you got for the price. I do like the less is more rgb as well. Nice review my friend. 👍👍

Black Friday sale in July makes this super tempting, they have the 4070 option on sale for $1200.

Did you tested the stealth mode as well ? But that price is unjustified ngl for 4070

Watched this video from my Legion Slim 5 which I picked through your recommendations, happy to see it's still a good choice in comparison to the latest options

An Alienware just isn’t the same without the tail. The screen wobble is a dealbreaker for me anyway.

Hey Jarrod, do you have any plans to review the recently released fusion/core 15 from XMG?

The quite uncommon 16:10 15.3" screen and the performance shown by the recent notebookcheck review for a "compact" laptop seem pretty interesting!

Non-soldered ram, easy SSD access, and replaceable Wi-Fi is a big win. But, in the end we see that there's really not much point in buying a 4070 vs a 4060. If you want to spend more, buy a 4080 laptop.

I almost went for the m16. Glad I switched last moment to the legion 7i.

Hey nice video! I wanted to know if it was possible to know the power draw during your battery test. You see, I don't get why identical CPU's get very different battery life results when set to their "lowest" power profile (on windows or directly on the control panel). I thought that maybe if you could show the total system power draw during this test we'd be able to (after purchase) tweak some settings to get better battery life results! Or maybe running a power draw software will impact battery life? Anyway thank you for the reviews !
