In 2013, War thunder was the game that made me want a VR headset. It's cool to see 12 years later a proper VR WW2 flight sim with VR mechanics ! Until then, I stick to IL-2 Battle of stalingrad.

I had no idea Gaijin were actually the ones developing this. I've been a big fan of War Thunder for years, but in general I just don't like playing multiplayer only games for too long. I know War Thunder has some single player content, but it's very minimal and I always wished they released some proper campaigns for it. I'm even willing to pay for it like I did with the small amount of single player missions. I really hope this is the game I always wished War Thunder was.

Whatever the reasons for the long delay were, I'm glad they stuck with it cause I'm very much still looking forward to flying around in WW2, especially when it looks that good from ground level to high in the sky. Those haptics also sound pretty sweet.

All flight games tend to be difficult to control but that feels especially authentic in VR and its a great feeling once you start to get hang of it. Really looking forward to this one for PSVR2. Seems they are prioritizing HOTAS / DualSense over the VR controllers so I'll plan to use my HOTAS for when this releases, although for all the others I do end up favoring the VR2 Sense controllers since they feel more immersive (touching knobs, etc and having haptic feedback when controlling the flight stick or accelerator) even if they are even harder to be accurate with.

Can't wait for this one. I wasn't at the start just thought another plane game. But watching all the trailers and this gameplay it has swung me around. Did you get any motion sickness during your playtime GT ?
