My Jamaican 🇯🇲 Mom always called it pimento. She used it in seasoning oxtails, curry goat, wet/dry jerk, pot roast, rice &peas, soups, cornmeal 🌽 porridge and used in her roast pork 🐖 shoulder marinade.

We call it pimenton and it truly is the spice of the Caribbean. We always put it in stews an soups in my home country Suriname

OMFG ALLSPICE WAS PIMENTO ALL ALONG???? I always heard foreigners talk about it but I thought it was some semi-mystical blend of spices. Pimento is what we call it here in Jamaica and it adds a nice touch to soup, meat, rice and peas, and seasonal drinks (namely sorrel or "hibiscus tea" for you foreigners). I can't pinpoint exactly what it tastes like but you'll know when it's added to a dish. It's definitely an essential spice that you can't live without once you've started using it.

Allspice is used in baking cakes, and other sweets as well. You will find it in porridge, soups, rice &peas, and basically anything that you can cook. I love the flavour of this berry. The feature is appreciated.

I LOVED IT! In Greece we have limited to no access (especially in my town) to the ingredients that you use so it would be amazing if you started this as a series!
