Couples Takes Home Pregnant Stray Cat Living At A Car Rental Shop In Costa Rica | The Dodo

Instead of renewing their lease at the end of 2020, Kat and Jackson decided to move to Costa Rica for a few months. When they arrived at their car rental place, they met a friendly stray cat, who they later found out was pregnant! They knew they couldn't leave her, so they decided to rescue her and her babies and eventually take them back with them to the United States.

Fourteen years ago we took in a stray pregnant cat that was stuck in a tree in our yard. She was a white cat with two little black spots on her head very similar to some of the kittens and momma cat in this video. We took her to the vet immediately because she was very emaciated and he didn't think any of the kittens would survive. We took her home and made up an entire room in our house for her. We fed her and pampered her for an entire month before she gave birth. She had 7 beautiful kittens who all survived. We kept 4 of them and they are 14 years old now. It has been so awesome. There's nothing more rewarding in life.

I rescued a pregnant cat out of the parking lot where i worked years back. She looked a lot like the one you rescued. I kept her and 3 of her kittens. They brought so much joy to my life. The last kitten died a few years back at the age of 21. They are all gone now, and I miss them. Something about keeping the mom and the liter....it's magic and sweet and special.

I had a Calico from the day her kittens were born until 19 years later. The sons also lived into their teens at 13 and 19. It was magical to have the whole family for all of their lives.

A neighbor's cat gave birth in an old oven. She named the kittens Biscuit, Muffin, and Cookie.

These 2 kind people are brilliant; they didn't have to intervene, but wanted to help Natilia give birth in a calm, safe environment. It's wonderful that 3 kittens go to the States, and they are keeping 2 boys and their mummy. The stars were aligned, and without their help, Natalia would have given birth on the streets of Costa Rica.

What a memorable stay in Costa Rica. Not many people would have taken the time or taken on the expense of "importing" these kitties to the US. This couple absolutely rocks!
