That's exactly how we adopted our cat, haha. I was walking my dog and he just ran up SCREAMING. We walked with him for about 2 weeks and noticed he was looking worse and worse so we brought him to the vet and then my dog convinced me that we needed a cat. 😅

Bubba doesn't even FLINCH when Coconut comes charging at him. I've seen plenty of cats and dogs get along with each other. But Bubba may be the most laid back cat I've ever seen!

Since Bubba can't be an indoor cat, they could set up a catio area for him with a sheltered bed so he could still 'move in' permanently. Maybe, eventually, the other cats will accept him into the family. 🤞

We have many cats, strays, abandoned and barn cats that have adopted us. A big family that pretty much get along. There might be some resentment to a newcomer but it soon melts. I think they realise they were new once too.
Bubba is a special cat, please give him parasite treatment along with you others, good food, shelter and any vet treatment he needs. Look out for him. He will have a better life if neutered too and will integrate more easily.
He is a wonderful friend to the dog and would be a great companion to all with help to integrate.

i dearly hope the best for bubba. even in a neighborhood like that it's a rough life being a street cat. at least take him in for an exam and shots then build him a shelter out back. so glad they are bonded!

WHAT A GREAT LIFE! No "owner", but everybody cares for him. The whole neighborhood is Bubba's territory, and Coconut loves him. Sure there are dangers, but Bubba has survived by his wits. May Bubba and Coconut have a long and happy friendship.😺🐶
