ASMR Bedtime Story - Napoleonic Wars / The Rise of Napoleon (Part 1)

In this soft spoken ASMR video, I tell you about the Wars of the French Revolution and the meteoric rise of a military commander from Corsica in the 1790's: Napoleon Bonaparte. We explore the transformation of society, politics, diplomacy and warfare that made his destiny possible, and we follow him from his birthplace to Toulon, Paris, Italy and Egypt until the coup that made him access to supreme power. In part 2, I will tell you about the multiple conflicts that saw him dominate Europe for a short time before a spectacular collapse.
