We explore this extraordinary complex and follow the history of Imperial China from the rise of the Ming Dynasty and the construction of the Forbidden City in the 15th Century, to the Qing (Manchu) Dynasty, until the fall of the Empire in 1911.

I have been to the forbidden city, I had no idea how much of a gift it was to see it. That was 25 years ago. Life there was much different than now.
