It breaks my heart how anxious kids are these days about school shootings. We used to get anxious over that occasional fire drill, I just can't even imagine what it's like to be so young yet so aware nowadays.
I absolutely love how she gives these kids the time of day with her answers; she's so gentle and attentive. Her conversation with the little black boy absolutely warmed my heart. He's a sharp kid and I hope he goes far in life.
