Women ask questions like: How long have you been married/together? Where did you get married/meet? How many kids do you have? What are their ages? What neighborhood do you live in? What church do you attend? We do size each other up, but the questions are rarely about where you work. Once in a while you might ask what the husband does.

I think the reason men "size each other up" in terms of their job or vocations is because they tend to base their self-worth on what they do for a living... not a bad thing at all, I'm not being critical, I believe it's just the way God created them...Women on the other hand, when they converse about "what they do for a living" and ask questions, it's because they're trying to find common ground and find a place where they can relate to them on a more emotional level
