Smoke Rises From Fire Aboard Cruise Ship in Corfu

Smoke could be seen billowing from a cruise ship in Corfu, Greece, as a fire occurred aboard the vessel on March 12.
Footage of the incident was captured by George Lychnos, who posted it on his Facebook page as the incident was occurring.
“A fire on board MSC Lirica, which seems to be originated in an empty lifeboat on deck 6, was reported to the emergency services earlier today in Corfu where the ship is currently in warm layup,” MSC Cruises’ spokesperson Luca Biondolillo told USA Today.
None of the 51 crew members on board the ship were injured, according to reports.
