Excellent Video -- I've been in IT for 30 years (programming, project mgt, etc) and I've always given the clients I deal with excellent service (just was brought up that way) - to the point of giving some my personal phone number if they need to reach me off hour (granted, I'm very judicious on that one - there will be clients that will call you for basically no reason). And you know - I've received VERY FEW calls during off hours from my clients after 30 yrs (system issues - well - that's another story, but that's handled internally and transparent to the client). When I sold on eBay and other small sites, I ALWAYS refunded their money - because it's the right thing to do and there is no reason to get eBay, Paypal, etc. involved - you'll lose anyway. Many times, I even let them keep the item.

Great video. I have been trained as a customer service agent. But one additional Tip from this video is how you treat anyone who asks for a refund. I really agree with you that giving them a pleasant experience during refunds will go a long way in giving them a good impression about you. Please can you provide the links to the free tools you mentioned in the video. Thank you again for this video.

I’m really excited to check out Freshdesk. I handle all of the customer service for our business and it is by far the most stressful part for me. It blows my mind the things people will say to a stranger in an email. I do have a question, though, and maybe I missed this but do you have any advice for dealing with unreasonable customers?

Customer service is without doubt the #1 neglected business art here in Ireland, it is normally appalling, those of us that are crushing it long ago realised, CUSTOMER (1) it's all about them (2) they have a problem that they want solved. (3) If you can solve it and provide further help in the future? BOOM! 🏌️‍♂️☘️🏌️‍♂️☘️ 😂
