What a good review. Bravo! Now it would be interesting to see PA140 vs Phantom Spirit 120 SE.

Hard to beat the price to performance of Thermalright coolers. These coolers are a steal.

The PA120 already was a very good deal. Have yet to see this one be available in Germany

Would you advise it over the PS 120 EVO?
I'm guessing not and that the PS 120 EVO is better than the PA 140 all things considered but I'm curious to hear your opinion.

Have the smaller Phantom Spirit and its works wonders for my build. This looks insane for the cooling performance and noise normalised and then there's the price.

Can't wait for their new flagship the Royal Preytor which should give even a regular G2 a run for its money. If this hasn't already for AMD builds.

Would have been nice if you would have tested with a Platinum static pressure fan :) If we save on the cooler maybe to cash out extra for the fans is not that bad of an idea...

Ares I agree with you here, aim for 120% and stop at 90%... I am rocking the Le Grand Macho RT... mounted on the 7900x without the AM5 kit as it was possible to reuse the AM4 mount inverted if you know what you're doing.
Of course, under load, things are hot as designed but there's no thermal throttling - and it's pretty silent. My case fans are way louder (same ramp up curves).
Air cooling is practical and Thermalright is simply... just the right choice.

so a worthy "upgrade" to the 120mm peerless assasin. as an owner of a 120mm one, the thing is a champ at anything you throw at it. the ONLY problem is that is kind of noisy unless you manually tweak a good fan curve.

Thank you! Very good review!! BTW I lapped my Thermalright FC140 base plate and changed the fans to Phanteks T30 + CM Mobius 140P ARGB.
The T30 was in the front and Mobius in the back, now only the T30 in the middle. :)

hi, can you tell if this leaves clearance for the topmost PCIe slot GPU? For example an mATX board

my guess of noctua being way more expensive is that they don't make em in mass scale in comparison to thermalright.

140 vs 120, if the price is same and both avalaible, which one should i buy?

I wonder about duo 140mm in pull-pull configuation with second 140 on the back instead of this 120 on the front

I have a Deepcool AK620 with 2 Arctic P12 Max FDB fans installed, will changing to the PA140 be beneficial for my 5700x3d? or it's not worth it changing coolers? I have set my 5700x3d to -30 PBO2
