Wichita Lineman (Jimmy Webb) Piano Cover - SHEET MUSIC AVAILABLE

Whilst By The Time I Get To Phoenix was the first Jimmy Webb song I decided to put up, it's hard to leave Wichita Lineman uncovered. The title track of Glen Campbell's 1968 album, this is still one of my favourites and such a lovely song both to play and listen to; full of 9ths, major 7ths, suspended 4ths, and changing back and forth seamlessly between the keys of F and D.

I have now manually transcribed my arrangement and made available through the following sites:

If you like 1960s, check out my Playlist of other 1960s piano covers, which contains some other songs from Jimmy!

If you like Jimmy Webb, check out my Playlist of some other piano covers from him.

Welcome to my channel, where I like to present my instrumental cover arrangements of popular songs for intermediate or medium level solo piano. The camera is positioned to give the best view of my hands so it can serve somewhat as a tutorial. I am playing a Yamaha P515 digital piano.

First time I heard the song played on the piano. Great job Greg. In my opinion one of the greatest songs ever written Wichita Lineman. 👍👍

Greg, you hit 'em all! It's one of my all time favorites, and am going to pick it up. It'll take awhile, but so worth it, because it'll draw people to it like your playing did me. Thanks for sharing this; this song deserves to be played the right way for everyone to enjoy..

So well done. Enjoy this very much, like the others. Very nicely put across. The syncopation gets me, as well as the way the ascention of the scale execution, it unfolds emotionally just right.

Great cover (and tutorial as well).
Above all, I must praise the angle the keyboard is shot at! It is very helpful when learning.

Greg, the piano makes this come to life again. A serenade almost. And you win the grammy! Much support to a sixties bard not unlike me, i thought you hit a home run

I'm a late comer to your channel but I really enjoy this version of this song. The masterful way you play is top shelf!!! You've made a subscriber out of me. This song has been a favorite of mine since 1969. Yeah that's right. I'm old 😁.

Thanks Greg. A simply superb rendition with no silly frilly bits that might distract from this gorgeous tune. Perfect.

I've heard a few unaccompanied snippets of this played by Jimmy Webb in a few video interviews on the internet but this is the first time I've heard the entire song in a 'stripped down' version and I have to say that the purity of your performance is magical. Although Glen Campbell did this song great justice in his interpretation, this takes the composition to another level entirely.

Great cover! You capture the pain and angst in the original Boomtown Rats version.
