Save your lemon rinds from your lemon water and then you run them down there and grind them up and it freshens up your your disposal and your sink and your trap because the oil in the lemon is like a Degreaser kids

I use a toilet brush to scrub the garbage disposal. Dumping baking soda or other cleaners is not enough. There is gunk in there up the sides as well as on the bottom.

My disposal doesn’t work anymore but after a week it quit working & the sink is backed up now. The sink worked fine after it broke but all of a sudden the water is backing upCan I pour vinegar & baking soda down the sink? Thanks.

You're not supposed to pour boiling water down the disposal. It's going to melt things down there and once it cools down turns into gunk that'll clog the pipes....

I used baking soda and vinegar and the next thing I knew there were fruit flies around the sink. Vinegar is a fermented product that attracts them unfortunately.

I don’t think pouring boiling water is a good idea. Piping under the sink is plastic I always wait to dump my water until it’s lukewarm when I drain my pasta out of fear that the pipes get melted or cause leaks
