What Is Bonfire Night?
Bonfire Night is celebrated every year on the 5th of November in Great Britain. It commemorates the date that Guy Fawkes’s plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament was foiled in 1605. Celebrations are usually held during the night with effigies burnt on bonfires and fireworks set off.
