I am seen by Will's arc. I can't stand the "Kill Your Gays" trope.

But, we know that Vecna targets shame and Will has the biggest shame of all. Being gay in a time that hates him. I could have been Will in the 80's. The shows nails the shame. The anxiety, the dread. It weighs so heavily.

If Vecna possess Will, I can see one way out. Will must overcome his shame. That can happen if Will actually comes out to save himself. That would defeat Vecna's greatest hold over Will. I can see his family and friends accepting Will and that gives him the ability to break free and defeat Vecna.

My theory is that since Will is having a dilemma in the current love triangle he is in Vecna will try to take advantage of that grief therefore leading to his possesion

ok what i honestly think is that Will is not gonna get possessed by Vecna and try to kill Will but i think that Vecna is gonna try and get Will to join him since he has such a connection with the upside down and that he feels and knows things that the other characters wouldn’t.
