Hero Mom Dies Trying to Save Her Daughter From House Fire

A vigil was held for a New Jersey mother who died while trying to save her daughter from a house fire. William Montanaro screamed for his family to flee their burning home as the smoke alarm went off. While outside, they discovered their 6-year-old daughter Madelyn was missing. In a remarkable display of courage, her mother, Jackie Montanaro, ran back in to save her. Unfortunately, she was killed along with her daughter Madelyn. Now, William is left to raise his surviving daughter, Elena.

As a mother I totally understand this! No way in hell I could ever live knowing my baby died waiting on me to rescue her. I would rather die trying than live without my baby!

I wouldn't of left the house in the first place without my children. I would never of crawled to the front door, first instinct would be to run to my childrens bedrooom, id throw them out the window and jump myself thrers just no way im leaving a burning house without my children

So very sorry for ur loss. Mom's a hero! Happened here similar on a train track. Car stalled. Mom tried to unbuckle babies car seat. She failed & died trying. She was pregnant & died a hero!
