You can’t keep water based fragrances for ever or resell them a year or two later. Bacteria grows in water. In alcohol nothing grows so that’s why you have people selling vintage perfumes.

I have never disagreed with Ash before until this review. The initial spray on my skin I did not but about 30 minutes later it really was jumping off my skin and the smell drastically improved. My wife said the same thing. I even took a shower that night and lying in bed I could still smell it. It is a different smell than you would expect from Sauvage, but it is amazing.

This review is 100% what I expected. Water based frags are traditionally trash. Overpriced water based frags are an insult to consumers.

I'm going to miss Francis Demachy who retired three years ago from Dior. He was my favorite perfumer ever and made some of the most incredible classics during his helm there. Hopefully Kurkdjian can keep up the standard but it seems to me like a conflict of interest when he is still running his own eponymous fragrance company as well as doing Dior.😮

I believe it will be appreciated by a niche market of people who's skin doesn't react well to alcohol, sometimes the alcohol with some even burns my skin

Honestly hoping it flops. I do not want my cologne to be alcohol-free and water based. It’ll be a skin scent MUCH sooner and have horrible projection than if it had alcohol in it. Also the liquid looks unappealing to spray yourself with.
