The Broom from Assassin's Creed 2 worked as both a sword and a hammer for purposes of countering an enemy attack. Any counter that doesn't simply knock an enemy on their back will be a 1 hit kill, so countering that giant guard with the shining armor and watching the blood spurt out of their back as you graze them with some soft bristles was always satisfying.
