The engine turbine stack with four jet drives is faster. I think mine is between 120 and 130

Do the math.
Calculate per square of cabin space. The bigger engines are faster than ten small ones.
There are books that make your engines more capable as well.
I prefer ten small engines, tho. When you take damage, you will still be fast. Take damage to one big engine - you're slow

smaller engines are better becauze if the big one gets damaged the whole thing breaks down

I wouldnt reccomend that engine because even if you hit the smallest rock possible you will break it😅

There's like 2 or 3 books that upgrade engines for free: one from normal pursuits and then one from the figures in robes off the top of my head- so you could technically go to ~124 kn max. (However there's still the fishing stones that give you equipment so maybe there's better engines too)

You can easily acquire reserach parts from mission of iron rig, collecting the boxes and taking it to foundry is the only thing you need to get enough research parts 😌.
