I had a JDM D15B OBD-2 3 stage VTEC block that came with a D16Y7 head...yeah, the kid I bought it from didn't know the difference. Turns out he bought the engine from a guy on Craigslist who said it was a complete D15B engine, but he bought it, didn't want to do the swap, so he just swapped the VTEC head onto his Y7 block, put the Y7 head on the VTEC block, and sold it to some unsuspecting 19 year old who didn't know the difference. He sold the car to me because he could never get it to run right. I put a Z6 head on it in my 1997 EJ8 Civic coupe, and added an eBay turbo kit (with good brand name supporting mods like ARP head studs, a Cometic MLS head gasket, a Gates Racing timing belt, a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, etc), and my buddy tuned it on a P28 ECU that I socketed and chipped with a Xenocron kit, and not only was this car reliable and REALLY fun to drive, but on stock rebuilt internals (rings, bearings, gaskets), it made 207 whp @ 12 psi on an eBay turbo and stock cam...and did so for over 25, 000 miles with zero issues! I loved that setup. I eventually swapped to a B18B1 with the same turbo and tune and it ran great with alot of power and much more torque for 20, 000 miles until I built a forged LSVTEC with ALL Skunk2 parts and a Garrett GTS3582 dual ball bearing turbo and it made 709 whp at 34 psi tuned on Hondata S300 V3.

I am my del sol is almost finished d16z6 vitara h beam bottom comp cams 59300 ported blower 3.0 pulley 68mm tb 1320 toda header 2.5 catback and tuned on e85 car made 170whp stock motor with the stock blower 3.8 pulley setup

Do that then slap a turbo and make the sc work the low end and the turbo the high end and you’ll be a bullet
