I’ve been transforming SKINNY into pleated skirts and the Sew Quaint family has buzzing for a tutorial.

This is a 45 second sneak peek but mark your calendars for Sunday at 6PM, because I’ll be posting a full-length tutorial on my Youtube channel and you don’t want to miss it.

Just in case you’re wondering, the victim for this sewing project was a pair of size 6 American Eagle jeans and it took me about 2 hours from start to finish along with filming.

I stitched it using a size 14 denim needle anda 3.5mm straight stitch on my Singer Sewing Machine.

I used the fabric from the legs of the pants to create several long rectangles that I then joined right sides together in order to create several pleats. I added the pleats to the rest of the pants and voila, a pleated skirt.
