Ukraine war: Russian missile strike kills at least six in Uman apartment attack

At least six are dead and 17 wounded in the city of Uman, after two cruise missiles hit a nine-storey residential building, according to Ukrainian national police.

They added that three children were pulled out of the rubble.

Resident Olha Turina told The Associated Press at the scene: “All the glass flew out, everything flew out, even the chandelier fell. Everything was covered in glass.

“Then there was an explosion...We barely found our things and ran out."

Ms Turina's husband is fighting on the front lines, and said one of her child's classmates was missing.

“I don't know where they are, I don't know if they are alive,” she said. “I don't know why we have to go through all this. We never bothered anyone.”

If this is not a terrorist attack I don't know what else is. To hit a regular apartment building in the center of a country with a missile? At night, when everyone is at home sleeping? What is this? The hell is our government waiting for, why does Ukraine still have to ask for jets, tanks and other weapons? They have to get everything they need in order to protect their people and their home from russian occupants.

Officials may claim that this was an unintentional strike and a provocation. Russia will never concede that it deliberately bombed this residential building to intimidate civilians.
