These are those kind of unique games we used to get back in the day. We need way more games like this. Everything has gotten so cookie cutter these days.

Got it on gamepass for free. I loved it. Dark humor. Messed up scenarios. And it has Applebee's.

Been playing this game on gamepass and although these aren't my cup of tea type games I'd have to say this game really is a breath of fresh air and gives me hope in the gaming world cause its just a straight up single player adventure with no multi-player, co op or micros and that is why I will praise and support this game.

The “I broke my leg” guy in the tunnel to the slums genuinely made me laugh out loud. There’s so many little moments like it that are just hilarious lol

Dude I laughed for like 15 minutes when that boss gave you that achievement for spending 15 hours in an aiden strip club 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This game is such a breath of fresh air. It feels like a clasic video game - fun, easy to get into and follow and so so unique.

I'm having a ton of fun with this game. Something I noticed is how little menu time there is. So many games I feel like I'm constantly in the UI looking at quest objectives/the map etc. This one is pretty straightforward and lets you get to the gameplay

It's fantastic, I love it. It's a decent game and insanely good entertainment at the same time which almost no other games manage to achieve anymore. Go buy it and support it if you still enjoy single player experiences like these!

Almost done with this game and I love it so much more than I expected. Honestly one of my favorite games of 2022.

As a 34 year old gamer that, at this point in my life, is a strictly casual gamer - I loved this. The last game I sought to be a completionist in was Fallout 4. High on Life combines the perfect amount of FPS, grinding, chill puzzles, and unlockables to keep me hooked to the end. Many of the mechanics and gameplay tropes felt as learnable as a late 90's platformer. I did experience some achievement breaking flaws that are going to make me play again (now fixed), but honestly I'm not upset to have to go through it again.

It's an extremely fun game, my only gripe is some of the environmental design feels very "Out of bounds" and a bit rushed at times. And I ran into quite a few bugs and glitches. But overall its a very good game and enjoyable. I hope the make a sequel.

It felt like a damn game! It kind of gave me a nostalgic loving vibe with its music and reminded me of Spyro. It’s comedy was great and gameplay so seamless. I haven’t found a game this fun in nearly a decade. Such a great, wholesome experience

I am amazed at how surprisingly great this game is. Like really I am blown away, I honestly think this is how games should be. At least with how "lived in" and how much you can do. I love the humor as well. I literally watched 45 minutes of the TV while I was eating. It's bloody hilarious more games need to look at that, not even the humor side of it, but just how much is going on and how many people and things you can interact with.

As a huge fan of Borderlands games, I get some those gameplay vibes here. It also takes me back to the Toejam and Earl on Planet Funkatron days. Games like this are not at the forefront of gaming anymore which makes me even MORE excited to give this game a go.

I've got to be in the last quarter of the game and so far it's been just what I wanted. The level ups and upgrades are satisfying and usable, which I can't say for all games. The story is crazy and definitely better than I expected it to be. I came in with fair to modest expectations and have surprised constantly, great game!

This game has so much life to it! Its so damn fun to play let alone just listen to! Reminds of back in the day early 2000s when games had actual characteristics & identity.

Man, I love this game so much. Finished it yesterday and I'm immediately starting another playthrough. I'm a huge fan of Rick and Morty, and also Solar Opposites, but I was surprised how tight the shooting, platforming and puzzle mechanics were. Fingers crossed for DLC. THANK YOU - to everyone at Gameranx. Great stuff, as always. Hope you guys are getting some rest and family time over the holidays 😁

The first time I saw footage from this game. Fond moments of Strangers Wrath flashed in my mind. I really liked that game. The art style, weapons and game play were perfect. If High On Life was $40 I'd definitely get it. Just for the nostalgic vibe I'm getting from it.

This game is truly unique. Have started it and enjoying it so far. Missing awe inspiring moments so far but that’s ok. Not every game needs crazy cut scenes to be enjoyable. As you say here, the combat isn’t that impactful, that part could have been better as we do a lot of shooting. But I’m enjoying the ambiance a lot.

I have to say even though I was looking forward to this for months, I kept my expectations reasonable and I was definitely pleasantly surprised. My biggest gripe was also how underwhelming the kick of the weapons felt, oh and the state of PC performance day one but that was mostly fixed pretty quickly, every other aspect of the game (including the humour) felt more than decent to me, at least for how far into the game I've gotten (I'm not rushing it). The thing about the humour dragging on is simply Justin not knowing when to call it a day, Dan Harmon is not around to reign him in but that's not as much of a turn off for me as it understandably could be for some. Overall pretty damn solid, streets ahead of Trover which was also enjoyable (in VR).
