Organize With IKEA Shallow Storage

Shallow storage is one of the most under utilized aspects in kitchen design. IKEA has many options to help you organize your kitchen, even if you can't go with a full depth cabinet.

The best part is you don't have to stay in the kitchen section to find these. All throughout their store options are waiting for you.

Every step of construction you have confirmed all our choices…we have a beautiful pantry door with large pantry (size of a storage room)….yet we are putting in free standing storage shelves that look like they came from an old general store….I love the look of rustic yet not shabby, new yet look as if it was in mawmaw 🏡 house, functional yet not overwhelming, that when I walk in and see the finished results it’s like putting on a warm pair of socks straight from the dryer with a hot cup of coffee sitting on the back porch watching the deer 🦌 in the back yard …thank you for doing the leg work and research for us newbie’s in design….you rock….blessings and great success to the whole Tobin crew👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻and Gammy too💯💯💯💐💐💐💐

On a trip to IKEA as we speak. It’s 2 hrs from my house so this video is timely to get extra ideas 😅

Another great offering, Mark! IKEA needs to call and get on the MTKD bandwagon while the stock price is still a bargain! I really enjoyed the video... speaking of visual interest, I liked the colorful slide shots that break up the monotony of the video. I might steal that technique- totally awesome. And I thought it was brave of you to highlight the actual bobbled size of your head in some of the pics, instead of the toned down normal size we usually see through camera tricks! On a more serious note, you've got me really considering shallow-depth storage, because I can definitely visualize some those options for my space. Thanks again for this video. You hit it out of the park!

We didn’t have space for 24“ pantry cabinets, so used 15“ deep ones (Sektion) and we are really happy with it, because it’s easier to reach and find things than in a 24“ deep one. We have all drawers on the bottom half, and even the shallow drawers have plenty of storage space.

I love it Mark. I "MacGyver" stuff all the time. My daughter calls me crazy but then she sees how my out the box item works and momma gets an "I'm impresed" look. Example, I recently bought a 5 shelf metal rack for the kitchen (my pantry option for now). I refused to pay $30 for 4 shelf liners. I used the cardboard box it came in to do my own liner. I measured & cut it & it fits perfectly. No items falling through. We're going to stick adhesive drawer liner (dollar tree purchase) to pretty it up. I'm happy with my functional solution. Be well.

I love their Trônes for shallow storage. They are supposed to be for shoes, but I once read an article on other things you could do and I went out got some and they hold my hats, mitts, and scarves 🧣 near my front door. Am sure they’d be excellent in a kitchen for many things, too!

Now if only Ikea would finally come to New Zealand, we could actually use these tip!

Great video. Just a word of warning about the kallax storage cubes. I have a wall of them in my craft room. Every cupboard door with hinges on the right side have fallen off. All the boxes are fine. We also put this storage in 3 or 4 years ago…so maybe in the interim this add on has been improved.

Why is there a click every time you change slides? It’s very irritating! Your other videos don’t have that click and you have great information but please don’t do that clicking thing!
