Dope snare drum and sound. It sounds good at all tuning ranges. I believe that the first Ludwig snare that ever impressed me was a bronze 5×14 .
These days, I am mostly impressed with the sound of bronze, and titanium snare drums. The sound quality is second to none!!

How do your LOOK as if you are playing the EXACT same drum the EXACT same way and make it sound so different (tuning 3 ways)? You hit it in the same place, right? Just a different part of the stick?

Heck, I had NO IDEA you had to ... or even COULD ... tune a DRUM!

I'm gonna have to say my newly frankensteined 12 ( mixed ) lug with the smooth chrome 14x6.5 Pearl Export shell is now the best snare in the world for me 😂 Before that it was the Ludwig 14x6.5 Super Supraphonic.
