A 7 month long time lapse movie of the Sun as viewed by SDO/AIA at 1 hour per time step (the minute hand stands still while the hour hand spins :-)

This is a color composite blend of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) 3 different wavelengths:
Red = 211Å (Iron XIV emission line @ 2 million Kelvin = 3.6 million F)
Green = 193Å (Fe XII emission line @ 1.5 million Kelvin = 2.7 million F)
Blue = 171Å (Fe IX emission line @ 1 million Kelvin = 1.8 million F)

Cadence: 3600.0s per time step
Approx SDO data volume over time span: 840 terabytes
Approx # SDO images over time span: 24 million

@NonStops909 Nothing bad. The Sun is active, gearing up for Solar Max. The August 1 events were truly awesome for us to learn much more about our Sun.

Have to admit the level of comments on this video are poor even by Youtube standards. You are looking at some of the most amazing images ever taken of the super heated surface plasma of the gigantic, almost perfectly spherical, spining, atomic fusion reactor that makes up 99.9% of all the mass in the solar system. It is not good or bad, it just is. Awe inspiring.
