There are more transcendental numbers than irrationals? This guy doesn't know high school math.

The set of real transcendentals are a subset of the irrational numbers. And both sets are thought to have the same cardinality.

And there are a lot more than five orders of infinity.

Neil is wrong so often. Let him become known for being confidently incorrect.

Tyson is wrong here. Because of the nature of infinity, you can simply number the irrational numbers or the transcendental numbers, using counting numbers at which point they map perfectly and are in fact the same infinity. There are higher order infinities but what he's describing are not them.

infinity is a concept it is not an actual thing. it represents a number to big to understand but there is an end because the number cannot be stored and the number will fluctuate based upon the ability to store it
