Seriously you need more views and subs. You are really helping me with understanding the fundamentals of mixing and also are a sick guitarist! Much love!

These all sound awesome! I've definitely been guilty of driving up the volume of the rhythm guitars in the mix before

That's probably one of the most hard things to achieve in a heavy mix. Nice tips as always!

Dude, I don’t know how you hone in on these specifics so accurately and quickly. I usually try to work out for myself what I think you will say as an exercise, and sometimes I nail a piece of it or I’m close and sometimes way off. When you give your analysis I listen back and it’s all of a sudden so clear that you’ve nailed it. Example, I heard the mix was muddy in the middle track but I figured it was freq masking and a lack of carving—then you said he had the guitars panned center and boom, it was so clear. I’m learning so much from these videos—more than listening to how-to mix videos alone. Just want to thank you and encourage you to continue this series! I really like the idea of heating a mix and trying to critique it myself before hearing your opinion. I recommend everyone try this.

This is by far the most helpful video series i've ever seen on music production. Thanks dude!

Awesome. I wish I knew about this channel earlier

Janice's Track - Take the lead guitar out

Keep the dark riffs but add dark shit to it

Alexi's Track - redo completely, a slow track is fine, but use dark riffs

Mr Jack's Track - slow down the tempo, pick a different riff, make it dark

I'm glad you are doing these videos man. One thing people using/programming drums should do...Don't have the velocity set to 127 on everything. Sounds unrealistic, espcially on blast beats. With a real drummer, the faster they go, the lighter they usually hit. But no human hits%100 hard %100 of the time
