Unlike other channels that "roast" other mixes and don't offer any substantial feedback and distract you with stupid gimmicks. You, on the other hand offer great and useful advice. Been learning and enjoying your content!!

Now, how on earth didn't I get notified by YT bout this csm I've been waiting for?!!))

Hey, Bobby, Stephen here.
First of all, can't express enough how grateful I am for this invaluable feedback I finally got! I've heard before it was useless asking friends'/buddies'/relatives' opinion on your first mixes, but couldn't imagine how severe this issue actually is. I've asked literally over a dozen ppl and ended up getting zero feedback (critique I was after esp) I was longing for, since I definitely hear the problems with my mix, but just too amateur, I guess, to pinpoint where to start diggin' to get over this.
Now, you're right, there's tons of processing on my 2bus and the drum track. Didn't have access to drum stems, just a final drum mix and got too obsessed getting that distinct kick out snap, I could've overthought it back 3 months ago. Now with a fresher look at this project, I see and hear there's definitely some overkill stuff happening. Another thing, mentioned in the comments below, is yeah it's mixed on headphones (no way unfortunately at the moment to use monitors at acceptable levels in this room), but I have an option to check my crap afterwards at my long time trusted home theater room based around yamaha msp5 monitors and a sw running through room correction software. Not perfect, but that's where I actually heard how horrible my hours of work turned out. Just as mentioned below, it sounds kind of thin, lacking body, while I cannot complain the lack of lf. Could be the caveat of me using sennheiser hd580 while mixing, and not knowing till only recently what a signature sound of that brand actually is (might have dropped a lot of mid frequencies).

Anyways, sorry for a tldr post here. Suppose, posting my actual processing chains wouldn't quite fit this yt comments format as yeah... they're long... and full of... "creativity" (let's call it that for now lol). And thanks again. Your reaction was as much helpful as it is inspiring! At least now I have some sort of clue of what I should focus, avoid etc...

Out of all the shows that do this type of show, "rate my mix". It would seem that Bobby has the most talented audience. \m/

3:29 I guess in an instrumental song where the lead is playing all the time, tone separation and EQ matters more?

Are there a lot of mix submissions waiting in your inbox?
I wonder if mine will get featured here. Could really use the advice.
Love this series.
