Natalie Portman & Tessa Thompson On What It Really Takes to Act in the MCU - Thor: Love and Thunder

In the continuing discourse of superhero movies versus cinema, Thor: Love and Thunder's Tessa Thompson ("King Valkyrie") and Natalie Portman ("Jane Foster" / "The Mighty Thor") describe the appeal of getting to play in the MCU from an acting perspective. Hint: it involves a certain "lack of dignity".

This Thor sequel is also a reunion of many kinds: Portman reuniting with Chris Hemsworth's Thor as his love interest who gets to wield Mjolnir, but also real-life friends Portman and Thompson reuniting after working on Alex Garland's Annihilation (2018). IGN needs to tell this interviewer to stop talking with her hands. She is not conducting a symphony. Also ... stop looking at the cheat card so much. People feel more comfortable when they feel like they are in a conversation. Not so much when they are asked predetermined questions on a card. Subliminally to the actor/actess it can give the feeling they are taking an oral exam and could make them feel stressed and uncomfortable.
