One big tip too- let them drain first or put them in indirect light to drain, don't put them right back into their favorite sunny spot while still wet, they will get cooked. Learned it the hard way!!!

How can you tell when your air plants need water??

I ordered some from Florida and I live in Virginia. I watered mine for 3 hours. Was that enough time?? I still feel like they’re very dry but I didn’t want to water them too much. I googled the watering and it said anywhere from 20 minutes to all night. Should I put them back in the water today to soak longer? They still seem very hard and dry. Not sure if they’re suppose to be firm like that or if they’re suppose to be relaxed and flexible. My husband told me I should watch more YouTube videos about them!

In australia there a particular tree that just grow air plants survives just fine no problem

There’s a few different ways to water your air plant, daily misting is one, this methods another (honestly can’t think of the third rn lol but that’s what YouTube’s for) also, you don’t have to leave them upside down, a simple shake to remove excess water would suffice. I guess it’s about finding what works best for your air plant though.

I haven't gotten these to live past a year. I think they're a scam if you don't have a very specific environment and techniques, which are never shared by the seller.
