Trump supporter reacts to baseless immigrants 'eating the pets' claim

Former President Donald Trump has repeated a baseless and sensationalist claim about immigrants in Ohio eating dogs and other pets. NBC News talked to voters in Tucson, Arizona where one Trump supporter said the former president should stay away from his "pet eating" remarks.

He doubled down on it when the moderator called him on it, manufacturing lies about how people were telling him their dogs had been eaten and heavily implying that the city manager was lying about saying there was no such problem. That isn’t “off the cuff”, it’s despicable and deliberate demonization of immigrants.

I have a smidgen of respect for this woman for at least exercising some healthy skepticism of Trump’s pet-eating claim, and having the sense to at least look it up. Yet she still plans to vote for him???
