Among the many artists who sang very well but only displayed lung power....Gladys and her rendition of this anthem stand apart thanks to her heartfelt interpretation. She did more than just sing, she breathed LIFE to those words, and gave a meaning to them nobody else could - no matter how powerfully they sang. Also, let's not forget the woman is freaking 75! To be able to sing at THAT age is a big deal on it's own, let alone sing so beautifully!
