All day sits are easy when you sleep though half of it!

I always take a backpack mostly because I use it to carry in my outer layers. I seem to get overheated on the walk to my stand if I do not. Starting to sweat is not good for the cold or the nose.

I literally just clicked on this video, but I wanted to comment on something very important to me, there are millions of folks on YT posting videos left and right about every subject out there, but only a few can be trusted with the knowledge and the experience they have, this guy here is my go to man when it comes to hunting. I truly appreciate what you do and how much you share to make us better hunters 👊

Great advice. Only thing I would add is something for hydration.

Nothing better than sitting on a freezing cold day and watching the texts from your buddies come in saying that they are tapping out and meeting at the "coffee shop" to warm up. I tuck my phone away into my Sitka Incinerator jacket/bibs combo, smile and keep hunting until the sun sets. Staying warm and dry is priceless and allows you to focus on the hunt and not on how miserable you feel.

I watched your video and later saw a hand muff at TSC and bought it. Today I hunted in high of -5 weather, Canada...what a game changer that hand warmer was! Thank you. Mine and my husband’s hunting mentor always stressed to us to leave our coats open when walking in from the truck so we wouldn’t sweat and get cold. I only had to forget that once.

I cannot understand why manufacturers make hunting gear that uses Velcro. Some of the noisiest stuff imaginable!

I bought a heated vest and pants intended for motorcycle riders. Keeps me toasty and lasts all day. Morano wool is also key.

Most of my sits are all day because I’m hunting either in or against bedding! And you can’t skimp on your hunting gear!!! Comfort is key!!! Less fidgeting less movement!!! Awesome topic!!!! Great advice!!!!

Boots & toe toasties tip; first use good quality socks, use a pair of toasties over your toes on the first sock Not under. Then a second pair in the arch. Second pair of socks over that. This way it won't bother - hamper your walk in & it's more comfortable in stand. Been using this method for years. Try it.

Step one: hunt in the south because “cold” when the sun comes up means 40ish degrees at worst.

Step two: hunt somewhere that has cell service.

Step 3: bring a charger for your phone.

A great alternative for hunting clothing are gorka suits, Russian military mountain suits.
They have nice and durable water resistant fabric and at a low cost as well, you can get a fleece insulated gorka designed for freezing cold Russian winters for about $130USD.
You can get a full suit as cheap as $80USD and they work wonders!

Love those all day sits. I started using a heater body suit three years ago and it has made all the difference in bow hunting during cold weather. I don't have to wear as much and it hides my hand movement . Those hand packs are priceless. Keeps me from needing a glove for my release hand. Found your channel this Fall and appreciate all your tips and approach on Whitetail hunting. Keep up the good work !

Ice Breaker...Boot Blankets.
I always carry them into stand. Easily slipped over my mucks.
Guaranteed warm feet, below zero, everytime.
I've been on stand for 12 hrs, in the coldest weather you can encounter and very comfortable.
Best investment and greatest piece of my cold winter gear.

Jeff always looks super chill, he looks like a second lieutenant here 😂 ready to fight in a cold combat environment.

I use one small pack for a few things I carry that I normally don’t use in my stand and it fits under my seat where it’s not seen... I started brushing in my stand some a few years back and I’ve started seeing more deer since then.. so I understand now what you mean when you talk about deer seeing your outline..
Love your videos so keep them coming.!! Thanks.!! 👍🏻

Great topic Jeff! I’ve always switched spots from morning to afternoon, always seams to be a different movement for my property. I’ve also had great success with the heated jackets, seams like it’s always the last couple hours of the day, or when the sun just comes up, I need that extra little boost to get me through!
