If you've spent any amount of time working on iOS development, you've had to accept that you barely have a choice in regards to what editor you use. For the most part, you just have to use Xcode, and it's fine for the most part, but there's a couple things that are worth learning to make your life a little bit easier when using it.

In today's video, I wanted to share a couple of my most used shortcuts and a couple of the changes I have made to my Xcode environment to make navigation easier when working on my iOS projects. If you're a beginner, I hope this can give you a couple of different ideas on how you can customize your Xcode experience to make things as smooth as possible for you!

Making your editor as quick and efficient as possible is definitely not the most important thing within professional software development and software engineering. The time you spend sitting down and actually writing code without interruption is not nearly as much as the time you spend debugging or thinking about how to solve problems. But for those little moments where you are actually just typing out code, making it a seamless experience makes it a lot more enjoyable in my opinion.

I'm a hard core Vimmer for a little more than 3 years now, and having to use Xcode without shortcuts is like hell. Thanks for these a lot!

What do u think i should start from? getting macbook like in a week. i ve got a brief CS knowledge. is that gonna be a big problem when learning swift and iOS dev in general?
