If you ever wanted to use a Power BI slicer to drillthrough another page, you might have discovered that neither the old or the new slicer visuals support actions.

Sooooo, here is the hack for it to be used until they fix this. Enjoy!

Hey @Ruth, Welcome back 😀👍

I did this trick with the old slicer in one of my previous project where it had a similar requirement to move to a different page but client don't want to go through the drill through option of right clicking and selecting page but rather wanted a button. It worked for my requirement and the client was happy to see it in action.

Btw, your demo report looks beautiful with the images & colors.Nice 👌Thanks! 👍😀

I've done this before and it drives me crazy that MS makes us jump through these hoops! I worked with Qlikview for like 10 years before we got PBI and it made things like this SO SIMPLE. You could do so many more actions...for example on page open, or on page close or when you hit a button just like this. And every object had a hide/show property and things like that. I can see PBI is trying to eventually get there and go that route...but it's such a process.

If you use the sync slicers pane, you could sync without dropping the slicer on the other pages, I think.

having more events in general would help a lot. this is a good workaround but doing this very thing is easy in OLD SAP Design Studio. Scalable containers (grids, tabs, etc)... with event driven actions everywhere. as someone noted about Qlik every property can be set in code. every object has events (hover/click/etc.) to drive subroutines global written to be called from anywhere.

Technically, it's not a drillthrough, but I like it! ❤

Hi, could you help fix up this report that hasn't been looked at for a while? We can't figure out what's going on.
Oh, of course, remember to look for the hidden visuals on each

How do I create dynamic user roles in Power BI? Just small Brief. Roles are present in table, & according to that role user must be able to see data. Admin, Manager, Employee are 3 roles. Admin sees all project, Manager sees all project data in which he is present. User sees all project in which he is present but with access to small row in which he is actually involved.
