I went with the Whipple intake manifold. It’s been working great!

My gen 2 coyote swapped fox, (f150 motor) gen3 intake, ARH long tubes, MMR lightweight water pump pulley, stock airbox made 400RWHP at 6800 rpm (stock rev limiter on this Ford ECU) I'm going to raise the rev limiter and get her tuned, very happy with this truck motor and gen3 intake.

If Steeda were to work with VMP they could take over the planet of aftermarket performance for the mustang

in all honesty 2018+ ported manifold has been working perfectly fine for me making about 440hp 93 tune by auto mafia only mods i have is 2018 ported, jlt and tune :) also have stock headers with a h-pipe . The benefits with the ported 2018 manifold vs the cobra are small with a tune I am sure with the cobra you can get a tiny bit more power However with the boss and cobra intake manifold you have to do some custom fab work under the hood to make it fit.

Just what I wanted to here my 2017 will benefit from this 2018 intake plenum at 7500 RPM, my Stangmode is street strip 50%. Thanks a lot for your content and expertise.🔥💪👍👏

I have a '14 6R80 w/AED tune. I spoke with Shaun about this manifold swap, and he said much the same thing, that it would just move the powerband up. I don't and won't be racing the car on the drag strip or in Mexico. I have traction problems on the street as it is, and a converter would just exacerbate that issue. How you use your car is the key to all these questions. On the street, this car does not need torque loss on the bottom. If you're racing with a manual or a converter, different story. I asked Shaun about finding a 30-35 hp gain, something I can feel in the seat of my pants. While far more expensive, he recommends long tubes and full exhaust. We all want cheap horsepower, but this manifold isn't the answer for my car. I wish it were. Honest evaluation, Steeda.

I picked up nearly 4 mph in the 1/4 mile switching my 2015 from the stock manifold to the 2018. Enough said.

Got a 13' GT Track Pack making 394 rwhp & 378 rwtq. AED Tuned, Stock Manifold, Airaid intake tube with Stock Cold Air box, Borla exhaust w/ stock cats running E85.
For my driving style I like the extra torque stock manifold provides + 3:73 make the car zippy.

I added one to my 14 6r80 with a 4200 Circle D torque Convertor, 3.73 gears and long tube header, custom tuned, I lost H.P. and torque below 4000 rpm, but only picked up an additional 15 hp above. In my mind it wasn't really worth the loss of low end power, I wound up swapping back.

Ported 18’ manifold is perfect for f150 picked up 3 tenths and 4 mph. Still
Has plenty of torque especially with 10 speed. This on a heavy crew can also.

I chose the boss manifold mostly because im making my car more of a show car and always loved the look of the manifold under the hood

Good video! I appreciate that you advocate for keeping the When interest in this thing hit few years back, most S550 guys were locking out (most still do) and it never sit right with me.

I have went back and forth on this intake more times than I care to admit. It offers a lot of the same advantages of the 350 intake without the price tag or the loss of torque at lower RPM. My biggest complaint and the #1 thing holding me back may sound crazy…but I want to keep my engine cover!!! I love the cover, and I like to open the hood and see a nice “5.0” writing when I pop the hood. I don’t like the look of the engine bay with just the manifold exposed. If I could somehow keep the cover I would really consider this swap. Oh well….

Thanks for the info. This was my planned next mod, but being that my car doesnt see those revs often, it would be pointless.

According to JLT if your planning on using a 2018+ intake manifold u would need to purchase the CAI for the 2018 model year.
